The process of admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program is based on the performance of the candidates in a written test. The test is conducted by the B.Ed Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (B. Ed. J.C.E.C.E.B.), which is a statutory body established by the Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi. The test evaluates the candidates’ aptitude, knowledge and skills for teaching at the secondary level. The candidates who qualify the test are eligible to apply for admission to the B.Ed colleges of the state.

Eligibility Criteria

    Selection of students for admission in B.Ed. course will we totally on merit basis. The merit list will be prepared for the purpose by following roster reservation enforced by state Govt. time to time, for different categories, list will be prepared separately. For selection in reserved categories, required relevant certificate from competent authority not below the rank of sub-divisional Magistrate should be enclosed, failing which claim for reservation will be forfeited. The claim for reservation in seats for the Honorable Supreme Court of India.

    According to NCTE norms candidates with at list 50% marks either in Bachelor degree and/or in Master’s degree or any other qualification equivalent there to are eligible for admission to the programme. For SC/ST/OBC/PH Categories with 45% marks are eligible to apply.

    In case of same merit point, priority will be given to a candidate having higher educational qualification. In case of merit point and qualification be the same priority will fixed with date of birth.

    Merit list will be displayed on university website www.skmu.ac.in or college website and college notice board.

    The candidate will have to complete his training from the college, where he has been admitted. In no case he will be transferred to other college.
